2.  Be able to multiply polynomials  (section 5.3)
3.  Be able to divide polynomials (monomial divisor - set up as fractions and reduce; binomial divisor - use long division or synthetic division )   (section 5.4)
4.  Know when to use Long Division (binomial divisor's leading coefficient is not 1) and when to use Synthetic Division (binomial divisor's leading coefficient is 1)  (Class Notes)
5.  Be able to use the Remainder Theorem to evaluate a polynomial (section 5.5)
6.  Know which operation is associated with factors and which one is associated with terms.
7. Know what it means to factor
8. Know the General Strategy for Factoring Polynomials  (be able to fill in a blank outline)
9.  Be able to factor polynomials (sections 6.1-6.3)
10. Be able to solve quadratic (non-linear) equations  (section 6.4)
