TO SOLVE AN EQUATION THAT IS NOT A PROPORTION: *Find the LCD of all fractions in the equation. *Multiply every term (not just the fractions) in the equation by the LCD (NOT in a form of 1!!!) *All of the denominators in the equation should have cancelled. *Solve the new equation, which now contains no fractions.
